When I was young, I always looked forward to Christmas, because Christmas was a wonderful holiday for myself, my family, and my friends.
Christmas is not only near the end of the year, the shortest day and the longest night of the year, but also in the season of ice and snow. For me, as a child, I was always busy and full of expectations and efforts before Christmas: Christmas is coming soon, what gifts should I buy for my friends? What to give my best friend? How should I write out their Christmas card? How can I surprise them?
This is how Christmas comes for me, through lots of little expectations and excitements.
After growing up, Christmas became a holiday for lovers. Ending a busy day at work, dragging around a tired body, drowning in the turbulence of crowds, passing through the whole city, all in expectation of meeting a loved one on Christmas Eve, hugging and kissing them, and entering into Christmas day in the arms of a lover. On this day, more than others, loving words can be sweeter, and even ordinary actions can overflow with love, chatting together, eating dinner together, watching movies together, embracing to sleep and waking up - these all are given an extra shine by the yuletide season. Even without the company of a lover, and in the midst of friends, who wouldn't have such sweet expectations for this special day? ...
