Speaking of the American epic historical action film 300 in 2006, I think everyone will be familiar with it. It is a fascinating film. However, have you ever felt that it actually describes a story in an ancient historical work, The Histories by Herodotus? Many listeners want me to introduce some Western classics. So this week, I want to introduce to you the so-called father of Western history, Herodotus of ancient Greece, who wrote The Histories.

I think this book may be heard by many people and read by a few people because everyone is afraid of being bored, right? However, I didn’t expect that we could make a fantastic movie like 300 by taking out the fragments from the book and adapting them. The movie 300 describes a well-known story between the sixth and seventh volumes of The Histories of Herodotus, called the Battle of Thermopylae.
